“Don’t underestimate Whitey.”

Darlin, I never do!

While I agree with your analysis of the electoral map and how Obama can win the election by concentrating on the younger voters, I disagree that the younger voters will be able to sway the opinion of their elders. I think racism is too engrained in this country for anybody to change the mind of the completely ignorant. Even if Obama could somehow guarantee in writing that each unemployed, middle-aged, white person will receive a good job and health care after he is elected, there are still a lot of people who won’t vote for him simply because he is black. They would rather vote for McCain who will continue to support NAFTA and send their children to die in a pointless war simply because he is white.

I do agree that Obama should focus on the younger voters not because they can sway their parent’s opinion but because they are still more inclined to get up off of their apathetic asses and do something to change the direction of this country. Too many of the Baby Boomers have given up.

This is a very important statement from a seemingly very important person. The casual viewer might be particularly impressed by the colored stickies on the bulletin board behind DC. However, I have been to Dan's apartment and appearances can be deceiving. The stickies say, in this order: "bathe, jerk off, ramen, watch TV" and are simply repeated.

Actually, Anonymous, you missed one of the post-its. It's "bathe, call your mother, jerk off, ramen, watch TV"

DC- nice sense of humour...usually the calling my mom and jerking off fall under the same bullet. Cheers.
